Artboard Mockups in ChatGPT and Codex

When you connect your Artboard account to Artboard Mockups, the integration uses your account identity and permissions to access your Artboard projects, files and catalog content and carry out the design actions you request. These actions may include creating or editing projects, placing images or videos, rendering exports and, when requested, using Artboard's AI design features. Content you choose to import can become part of your saved Artboard files or project. The integration receives the inputs needed by its tools; optional analytics do not collect the conversation, design prompts or media content.

The interactive editor uses Artboard's authentication, backend and storage services. Authentication is provided by Clerk and application data is managed through Convex and Artboard's existing catalog and rendering infrastructure. Tool results may return project information, links, previews or exports to ChatGPT or Codex to fulfil your request. Exports are provided through time-limited download links. Expiry of these links does not delete the saved source project or media. OpenAI's handling of your conversations and uploaded attachments is governed separately by OpenAI's applicable privacy policies and service settings.

Optional plugin analytics

With your permission, Artboard uses PostHog to measure activity in Artboard Mockups. This includes design action types, request outcomes and timing, access limits, and visits through the Artboard account link. Events are associated with your Artboard account identifier so activity across the plugin and Artboard website can be understood together. For the same consenting account, an account-link visit may be associated with a subsequent website purchase within 30 days. Recent consenting plugin usage may also be associated with a later purchase within that window. This measures attribution; it does not establish that the plugin caused the purchase.

Plugin analytics do not include chat text, prompts, uploaded images or videos, or session replay. Collection is disabled until you allow it. You can decline collection or turn it off through Analytics & privacy in the Artboard menu. Turning it off stops new plugin analytics and future purchase attribution. It does not automatically erase events already collected. Contact info@artboard.studio or support chat to ask about access to or deletion of your data.

Account access and external navigation

The integration follows the permissions and limits of your Artboard account. When an action is unavailable, it explains the restriction and can offer a link to the normal Artboard application. Purchases are not processed inside this plugin. Activity on the external Artboard website remains subject to its analytics choices and this policy. You can disconnect your Artboard account using the host platform's plugin connection settings. Disconnecting ends that connection; it does not delete your Artboard account, saved files or previously collected data.

Retention of plugin data

Saved projects and imported media are retained in your Artboard account until you delete them or request account deletion, subject to applicable backup and legally required retention. Plugin purchase-attribution records use a 30-day window. Sent analytics delivery records in Artboard's backend are scheduled for removal after 90 days; this period applies to the delivery records, not to the events already stored in PostHog. Historical analytics in PostHog remain subject to the configured analytics retention and deletion processes. Disabling analytics stops new collection and attribution but does not shorten those existing retention periods. Contact us for information about the retention applicable to your records or to request deletion.

Account & Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your Artboard account and associated data at info@artboard.studio or through support chat. After confirming your identity and request, we initiate deletion of the applicable account records and saved content. Deletion cannot be reversed once completed and no deletion fee is charged. Deletion from all service providers and backups is not necessarily immediate; it is subject to the applicable retention schedules and any records we must retain for legal, billing or security purposes. Turning off plugin analytics or disconnecting the plugin does not automatically erase historical analytics, saved projects or media. Contact us to request deletion of those records.
